Earlier this week, "Hold My Hand" was released on the interweb as the first single off of Michael Jackson's first (of many) posthumous albums, Michael. The track is a duet with hip-hop star Akon. Akon also produced the single. But don't expect him to open the vault and release anymore Michael Jackson collaborations ever again. The only reason "Hold My Hand" is featured on Michael is because it's a finished track.
Akon: "'Hold My Hand' was one of the records that was actually fully complete. The rest of the ideas aren't fully complete. They're just ideas, concepts, and harmonies which the world will probably never see, because I would never put it out unfinished. So, I might just burn it after this interview... We've done plenty of records outside of this. But they were just incomplete."
Michael is predominately made up of several unfinished and scrapped songs from prior albums.

Glee will be taking on Michael Jackson's iconic "Thriller" for their post-Super Bowl episode... but with a slight twist. The Jackson classic will be performed as a mash-up with another song (yet to be announced.)
The supersized episode will be the most expensive in Glee history (and probably one of television's costliest episodes ever). It will also feature covers of songs by Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry.
The episode will keep the evening's sports theme and focus on the local football championship and Sue Sylvester's cheerleading regionals. Fan favorites Blaine (Darren Criss) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) will appear. General Motors is co-sponsoring the episode, which more likely means there will be limited commercial interruptions.
In related Glee news... An Elton John tribute episode will be included as part of Glee's back nine episodes.
Glee airs Tuesdays @ 8pm on FOX.
