In the News :: Ja Rule Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Ja Rule was sentenced to two years in prison in a New York City courtroom on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, six months after pleading guilty to felony attempted criminal possession of a weapon. As he was hauled off in handcuffs, he told his supporters in the courtroom (and his wife, Aisha) "See y'all later."

The rapper born Jeffrey Atkins was booked into custody at a city jail as he awaits word on his final lockup destination. Ja and Lil Wayne were arrested the same night back in July 2007 on gun charges after police found a semiautomatic handgun in Ja Rule's sports car.

Mr. "Always on Time" also pleaded guilty in March to tax evasion for owing more than $3 million in New Jersey back taxes. He's also facing prison time in that case, and could get three additional years behind bars for his cash problems.

The documentary includes footage of Hip Hop artists Ja Rule, Big Boi, Kool G Rap, Juelz Santana and Ma Barker, model Tyson Beckford, mainstream actor Darius McCrary and groupie-turned-author Pamela Des Barres ... It is narrated by talk show host Wendy Williams ...

Fat Joe to 50 :: "Suck My Dick!"

Fat Joe has let 50 Cent know that 50 can orally pleasure him anytime ... Fat Joe also labeled 50 a "coward" to Complex ...

In an exclusive web interview for the magazine ... Fat Joe called 50 a "punk ass motherfucker" who is too frightened to leave his home ...

Fat Joe spoke to Complex magazine's website: "He got shot by people who he knows and he doesn't do nothing about it. He gets criticized by people like Ja Rule, little Ja Rule, and he never even fought him one on one. He's going to come fuck with Fat Joe? Are you serious? He still don't leave his house. He's looking for attention, I'm gonna diss him. I'm gonna tell him to suck my dick, everything you can think. I'm gonna tell him that. What does he want out of me? He's gonna tell me, 'Oh, Fat Joe, you're a sucka', and I'm gonna be like, 'Suck my dick you punk ass motherfucker."

Both rappers have been in a heated exchange of words since the video for 50 Cent's "Piggy Bank" featured an animated boxing match between the two ... which ended with the animated Fat Joe being badly beaten ...

Fat Joe responded with the song "Fuck 50" in which he called the rapper "the fakest gangster around" ...

Their feud calmed down ... only to be spark up again when 50 said he would like to "eliminate" Fat Joe from the "rap game" on BET's Rap City ... The following week when Fat Joe was a guest he called 50 a "clown" ...

50 threatens to put Fat Joe's "brains on the floor" in his new single "Southside Nigga (I'm Leavin')" ...

Can't we all just get along ???

Ja Rule :: "I Was Taken Out of Context"

Weeks before his new album The Mirror drops ... and just as his new single and music video hits the airwaves ... Ja Rule says that his words were "taken out of context" when he said in Complex magazine that homosexuality was "fucking up America" ...

During an interview with the UK website Spinner.com ... Ja Rule didn't necessarily deny the comments he made ... but felt that they were taken out of context because he is a rapper and a Black male ...

MTV's First Bisexual Dating Show

MTV will premiere on Oct. 9th a brand-new dating show featuring ... Tila Tequila ... the "Queen of MySpace" ... In the show 32 men and women will compete for her love ...

The 10-episode reality series ... in the vein of Flavor of Love and I Love New York ... is the first bisexual dating show in MTV's history ... (I guess homophobic Ja Rule is going to pull a Kanye now hehehe) ...

The show ... A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila ... will not clue the contestants in on Tila's bisexuality until later on ...

Tila wrote on her MySpace blog to say:  "I am excited to finally come out as a bisexual for the first time to the world and I am excited to go on this journy with all of my myspace friends!  I loe you all and I can't wait for you all to see how awesome my new show will be and see the outcome of it all.  Nobody in television history has ever done such a groundbreaking show and I am happy to be the one to pave the way to open up people's minds about the lesbian and gay community."

Tila may have over 2 million friends on MySpace ... but will that online traffic yield actual television viewers?  And is the MTV viewing audience ready for a bisexual dating show?  Particularly since it isn't a network that targets the LGBT community ...

I guess we will find out on Oct. 9th at 10 pm ...
