Isaiah Mustafa has been dumped from the cast of Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. But don't fret, the reason he was was dropped from the cast is a good one. Instead of a small role in that Tyler Perry film, Mustafa will have a large role in the big screen adaptation of the latest Madea play, Madea's Big Happy Family.
The whole thing went from talks to a deal to shooting in just days.
The Old Spice Man will play Calvin, a man struggling with his marriage and family relationships. The film also stars Loretta Devine (as his mother-in-law) and Bow Wow (as his brother-in-law).
This is Mustafa's first lead role. Filming began this week in Atlanta. Mustafa is on location through early September, when it is slated to wrap.
