Falcon/Raging Stallion to Acquire Hot House Entertainment: Forms World's Largest Gay Adult Production Company

Falcon/Raging Stallion Studios announced today that it will acquire the assets of Hot House Entertainment, creating the world’s largest gay erotic company. Hot House president Steven Scarborough also announced that he will retire from the industry after a 27-year career. Falcon/Raging Stallion president Chris Ward will head the combined operations.

“We are excited to bring Hot House into the AEBN family of companies,” commented Ward. “I started my own career at Hot House so it is very significant for me to bring Steven’s company to Falcon/Raging Stallion. We plan to preserve and protect Steven’s outstanding legacy and continue filming in the Hot House tradition and style. Just as I worked hard to protect the Falcon legacy after the Falcon/Raging Stallion merger, I intend to make sure that Hot House fans keep getting exactly what they want.”

Scarborough offered his own thoughts on the future of Hot House as part of the Falcon/Raging Stallion mega-studio. “Because I came from Falcon and because Chris came from Hot House, I feel this deal is a perfect fit. I reached out to Chris because of our long history together. I am absolutely confident that Chris and his team will continue the Hot House tradition, which is something very, very important to me. I look forward to seeing Hot House remain an industry leader for years to come.”

Opportunities to expand the Hot House brand include making the 300-title catalog available on Cable TV through AEBN’s Align Broadcast group which has quickly become a major player in the US domestic cable marketplace.

Hot House, founded in 1993 after Scarborough left Falcon, quickly became one of the industry’s top studios, known for filming high-quality mainstream erotic films and also launching the Club Inferno video line. Ward began his own adult career directing for the Club Inferno line before he went on to found Raging Stallion Studios with JD Slater in 1999. Raging Stallion and Falcon combined forces in 2012, all under the AEBN corporate umbrella. Adding Hot House into the mix now brings the three studios full circle.

Christian Owen, the current film director at Hot House, will continue with the new venture, assuring continuity of content. Director of Hot House Operations Rob LeVan will also remain in place as Director of Operations for the studio group.

In announcing his retirement, Scarborough ends a career that began at Falcon in 1987 where he served for many years as the studio’s head director and Chuck Holmes’ right-hand man. Scarborough was instrumental in developing niche films at Falcon, which he continued when he started Hot House. Hot House remains the premier "ass-play" studio with its website ClubInfernoDungeon.com. Hot House mainstream movies are presented on the studio’s flagship website, HotHouse.com. All Hot House, Falcon, and Raging Stallion membership sites are part of the Buddy Profits affiliate program. Films from all three studios are available for VOD at AEBN.com.

Erik Rhodes: Falcon Superstar of Eight Years Passes Away (1982 — 2012)

Falcon Exclusive and gay porn mega star Erik Rhodes passed away Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack while he slept. He was 30-years-old.

Below is the full press announcement from the studio:

It is with great sadness that San Francisco- based Falcon Studios and Raging Stallion Studios has confirmed the passing of Porn Superstar, Erik Rhodes. Erik died of a heart attack in his sleep this morning at 5:30 AM EDT. Rhodes had been a Falcon Exclusive for all but one scene in his entire career, and he rose quickly to Mega-Star status after his first DVD Super Soaked was released in 2004.

Chris Ward, Falcon/Raging Stallion Studios President offered the following statement: "We are deeply saddened by Erik's passing. He was a part of our family and we are devastated. Our thoughts are with his loved ones."

Friend and Falcon/Raging Stallion VP of Production, who worked with Erik for the entirety of his career, Adam Q. Robinson added, "Erik was a stunning man and a bigger than life performer, who always gave 110% in his performances. He projected a man of steel on the outside, but he was as sweet as a teddy bear on the inside. He's been a close friend for the past 8 years and will be deeply missed."

He was a genuine and caring man with extraordinary attractiveness and a massive muscled frame. He was a giving person with a special wit, and he put his all into every performance. He wanted to give his fans the best he could every single time he stepped in front of the camera. Rest in peace, Erik and know that we are celebrating your life and your achievements, but we will miss you and all the special moments you have given us forever."

Born in Long Island, New York in 1982, Erik recently celebrated his 30th birthday. Rhodes began his career with Falcon by signing as an Exclusive in September of 2004 at the age of 22, shooting only one scene prior to joining the Falcon team, and he had remained an exclusive ever since. Erik also directed eight Mustang Studios titles during his career. He recently began shooting with Raging Stallion Studios after it merged with Falcon in early 2011. His videography includes over 40 scenes filmed over the last 8 years.
