2010 BET Awards Nominees Announced

Nominees for the 2010 BET Awards have been announced.

Usher, Chris Brown, Maxwell, Trey Songz and Raheem DeVaughn are nominated for Best Male R&B Artist. Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Melanie Fiona, Alicia Keys and Rihanna received nods in the Best Female R&B Artist category.

Jay-Z received a total of five nominations, while Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Melanie Fiona and Trey Songz received four apiece.

On the film side... Avatar, Precious, The Blind Side, Michael Jackson's This Is It and Law Abiding Citizen are nominated for Best Movie. Zoe Saldana, Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique, Taraji P. Henson and Regina King are up for Best Actress, while Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle, Jamie Foxx, Idris Elba and Quinton Aaron round out the nominees in the Best Actor category.

Queen Latifah hosts the 2010 BET Awards on June 27, 2010 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium.

Chris Brown Begs Fans to Help Revive His Career

He's baaaccckkk!

Chris Brown returned to Twitter (@ChrisBrown) recently, after ceremoniously dumping the social networking service late last year amid drama.

Brown has been searching for a way to revitalize his prince of pop status and career following his 2009 assault on former girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown recorded a message on Say Now earlier this month asking his fans to "bring [him] back".

Chris Brown: "It won't be possible for me to be an artist if I don't have support from people who give me an artist outlet. I can't be an underground mixtape artist."

Is anyone listening? Mr. Brown can't be an underground mixtape artist!

Chris Brown Dumps Twitter

Chris Brown ain't no MechanicalDummy.

Brown deleted his Twitter (@MechanicalDummy) account last week after a day of microblogging about Walmart, and other stores, not stocking his latest album.

Brown tweeted this Sunday, December 13, 2009: "JUST WAS AT WALMART IN wallingford CT,844 north colony.. the didnt even have my album in the back... not on shelves, saw for myself...we talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had alicia keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin...no disprespect to alicia at all.. just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week."

Walmart issued this statement: "We are surprised at the comments online. All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford, [Conn.], store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available."

Anyway... Early Monday, December 14, Brown signed off Twitter with this final tweet: "I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now if fans visit @MechanicalDummy, all they will see is "Sorry, that page doesn't exist."

Chris Brown Throws a Twitter Tantrum

Chris Brown apparently still hasn't realized that the domestic violence incident he has with his then-girlfriend Rihanna is still going to have ramifications... no matter how many times he goes on TV to apologize.

Today he took to Twitter to vent his frustration:

* "im tired of this shit. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the fuck do i gotta do..."
* "WTF... yeah i said it and i aint retracting shit"
* "im not biting my tongue about shit else... the industry can kiss my ass

So... I guess the new "changed man", the sensitive Chris Brown we have seen on 20/20 and Larry King Live was all a sham? And Chris Brown is just a whiny, pissy, entitled jerk?

Vibe Returns with Chris Brown, Drake Double Cover

After a summer hiatus, Vibe Magazine returns to print with a brand-new editor-in-chief, a new philosophy and two new cover boys.

Chris Brown joins Drake on a double cover for the magazine's "comeback" issue.

After struggling financially and filing bankruptcy this past spring, the magazine shut down in June. A group of investors stepped in with plans to revive the magazine, both online and in print.

Vibe's "comeback" issue hits newsstands on December 8, 2009.
