Portia DeGeneres Won't Go Dancing

Portia DeGeneres was asked to be on the 12th season of Dancing With the Stars, but the star has declined the offer.

DWTS producers wanted the former Ms. de Rossi to be one half of the show's first same-sex dance couple.

When she declined the offer, the idea was reportedly shelved for the time being.

Dancing With the Stars returns March 2011.
