Rapper Earl "DMX" Simmons just can't keep himself on the right side of the law.
DMX was arrested Thursday night in Arizona for several probation violations. The 39-year-old rapper reportedly possessed cocaine, Oxycontin without a prescription and was driving on a suspended license. All of those charges violates his probation from his 2009 conviction on animal-cruelty, drug and identify-theft charges.
DMX was sentenced to six months in jail in March for a previous violation. But, he served barely a quarter of the time. Over the summer, he completed 18 days of a 90-day sentence for violating probation on a 2002 DUI charge in Los Angeles.
Aja Southern (DMX's attorney): "Mr. Simmons is here today to fully cooperate with respect to any matters of the Court's concern. This is one of many steps towards rebuilding his image and rapport with the community and his loyal fans."
DMX is being held without bail and authorities are looking to have his probation revoked.
