Gay porn super stud Austin Wilde has left Raging Stallion Studios. The 2010 Raging Stallion Man of the Year has opted to sign a three-year contract with web porn purveyor Next Door Studios. Through Next Door, Austin will launch his official website, Austin Wilde.com, on December 20, 2010.
Shortly after Austin left RSS, rumors spread that he left due to concerns over HIV testing. The 27-year-old performer set the record straight in an exclusive interview with TheSword.com. Here's an excerpt:
The Sword: There were rumors about you pulling out of a recent shoot due to concerns over HIV testing, or a lack thereof?Austin Wilde: It had nothing to do with my scene partners, Raging Stallion, or the movie itself. Steamworks was my last movie, which was shot back in April/May, I believe. Around that time I had been finding out about a few people becoming HIV positive--both in and out of the industry. It was a wake-up call and a turnoff from sex for me all around. So instead of bringing my personal issues to the set and possibly giving Raging Stallion a bad performance, I decided to back out of the movie and take a few months to myself.
The Sword: Performers' opinions are split on the topic of studios requiring HIV testing for their models (Raging Stallion doesn't). Some say that a negative test is worthless because you could've contracted something in the past month that wouldn't show up on a test. Others require that all their scene partners be tested. What side of the issue are you on?
Austin Wilde: I've recently started requiring my scene partners to be tested. While a test may not detect something contracted a month prior to getting tested, having your scene partners tested is NOT a complete waste of time. That month's time is A LOT less than six months or a lifetime of never being tested. So requiring a scene partner to be tested may not eliminate your chances of doing a scene with someone with an STD/HIV, but it significantly lessens it.
Kudos Austin for requiring your scenemates to be tested. Others in the gay adult industry should follow suit.
