Scott Tanner (Born: January 21 1979) is consistently one of the hottest performers to watch in the gay adult industry. Standing 5'11, weighing 188 lbs and packing 8 inches, the 31-year-old performer is the complete porn package.

In his decade in porn, Scott Tanner has starred in productions for some of the biggest porn companies in gay adult erotica. His sexual prowess has been featured in films for Catalina Video, Falcon Studios, Lucas Entertainment, Hot House Entertainment, Titan Media, Black Scorpion Video, Mustang Studios, Channel 1 Releasing and Raging Stallion Studios. Some of the popular and large-scale productions he's performed in include: All Worlds Video' LINK: the eVolution; Titan Media's Home Invasion; Black Scorpion Video's Cuma Sutra; Lucas Entertainment's Gigolo; and Raging Stallion Studios' To The Last Man and Focus/Refocus.

Scott Tanner has accumulated several awards throughout his career in the industry. He was a 2008 Grabby Award winner for Best Three-Way Sex Scene in LINK: the eVolution, two-time 2009 GayVN Award winner for Best Threesome and Best Supporting Actor in To The Last Man and a two-time 2009 Grabby Award winner for Best Three-Way Sex Scene and Best Supporting Actor in To The Last Man. He's also a multiple nominee. He was nominated for a 2008 Grabby Award for Best Cum Scene in LINK: the eVolution, 2008 GayVN Award for Best Threesome in Gunnery Sgt. McCool, 2008 European Gay Porn Awards nomination for Best Group Scene in Barnstorm and a 2009 Chronicles of Pornia Award nomination for Best Hairy Performer.

Throughout his career, Scott Tanner slowly worked his way behind-the-camera. He as a production manager and casting coordinator at Raging Stallion Studios for three years. He has directed and produced adult films. He's now directing for KinkMen.com.

I recently sat down with Scott to talk about how he got into the gay adult industry, his favorite scene-mates, his views on fetish porn, his work behind-the-camera and his future plans in the adult industry.

Papi Chulo: How long have you been in the adult industry?

Scott Tanner: I shot my very first film for Catalina in 2000/2001. So, 10 years.

PC: How did you get into the adult industry?

ST: I was a junior in college in NC, and I had a friend who shot still photos and box covers for Catalina Video. They had a model drop out, who apparently was a blond twink... and so was I at the time, so he called and asked if I'd be interested. I said "yes"... and the very next day I was on a plane for the first time and in Hollywood. It was a really great experience.

PC: How did you come up with your porn name?

ST: During that same shoot... after we had wrapped the scene. The crew and other models sat down and chose one for me. We through out several options... but they were either taken or just not right, so then someone said "Tanner Scott"... and I flipped it.

PC: Were you always interested in doing porn?

ST: It's not really something I focused on. No. I mean, I had discovered porn at a young age and was curious and definitely liked it... but never aspired to be in it.

PC: What was your first day on a porn set like?

ST: It was called Sticky Situation. It was for Catalina and my scene partner was Adam Wolfe. I think it's only ever been released on VHS, which is frightening. I remember when it was released and I saw the box. He had the entire front cover, and I was so happy for him. Then when I flipped it over, I was on the back cover. I hadn't expected to even have a tiny photo on the box... let alone the entire back cover. I didn't realize back then how much that meant... but now I'm pleased to know they thought I was worthy enough to try and sell the movie.

PC: Who have been some of your favorite scene-mates to work with?

ST: My favorite scene-mates to work with have been friends of mine. I know, that might seem strange... but I prefer to work with guys that have the same artistic drive that I do. It's a performance and I wanna work with someone who understands that and can deliver. There are so many guys that I have worked with that I really respect, but I have to say my favorites are Ricky Sinz, Adam Killian, and Logan McCree. All three of those guys are good friends of mine and Adam is actually one of my best friends. Ricky and I worked very closely in To The Last Man, along with Logan. We spent countless hours learning lines, rehearsing and planning out the rape scene... so that nobody got hurt, but it still looked brutal. We pulled it off and it was a pleasure to work with such dedicated and talented guys. Adam and I have both spent time behind the camera as well... So when we do a scene together... It's got to be perfect and we will do what it takes.

PC: What do you enjoy most about starring in porn scenes?

ST: Getting to play a different character and experience things I wouldn't normally do in my real life. I get to act out my fantasies in a controlled, safe environment, and get paid for it.

PC: You have been featured in a variety of scenes that range from one-on-ones to threesomes to group sex. Which do you enjoy being in the most?

ST: Hhhmmm... good question. I guess it all depends on my scene partner and the scenario. Most of my awards have been for three-ways. So that seems to be what others prefer to see me in. But like you said, I've been in a wide range of scenes and have enjoyed most all of them.

PC: You have starred in several fetish-infused productions, such as Piss Off: Hardcore Fetish Series: PISSING #1, Fisting All-Stars and scenes for KinkMen.com. Do you enjoy doing fetish porn?

ST: It's fun. It's not something that I would've probably pursued in my private life, so to get the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and do it on film is always fun. I'm actually directing for KinkMen.com now. So, I am really into the fetish environment and it's great.

PC: In your opinion, is there a difference in the way fetish-infused porn is shot, versus regular porn?

ST: Oh definitely... Fetish porn is very specific. You can shoot a vanilla porn scene and it can be any number of situations and scenarios, in any number of locations and its basically all the same thing. But, fetish porn is specific. It's specific and it has a very focused audience. They know what they wanna see and most of them are in the fetish lifestyle themselves, so they know whether its real or not. And they aren't shy about telling you so. The challenge is finding models who are curious or experienced in the fetish world and shooting a scene that will satisfy the audience, while creating a positive experience for the model as well. PC: Your most recent fetish work is in Raging Stallion's Code Yellow: Piss in My Mouth - Pissing #2. Do you enjoy working in piss themed films?

ST: I have done a few. Back when I worked for Titan, Joe Gage would always have us piss on our scene partners at the end of the scene, always. So, I got really good at pissing in front of people and on camera. I'm not pee shy. It's tough though. A lot of guys think they can do it and then as soon as the camera is rolling... nothing. For Code Yellow, Paul and I were asked to do it together, and being that we are a real life couple, we thought, "What the hell?" It's not something we do at home or have done since, but we had fun doing that scene. The only bad part was that I had eaten asparagus the night before and totally forgot about the effect of that vegetable on your piss. He wasn't happy, but we can laugh about it now, or at least I can! [laughs]

PC: You have starred in productions for some of the biggest gay porn powerhouses. Is there a particular studio you enjoy working for the most?

ST: They are all very different and they all have a different dynamic. I've made friends with people at every studio I've worked for and have enjoyed most all of the experiences. There is no way I could name just one... no way. I love Channel 1, but Chi Chi [LaRue] is one of my dearest friends and we have worked on some amazing scenes together. So I'm probably biased a bit. That goes for a lot of studios though. Raging Stallion is great and I worked as Production Manager and Casting Coordinator for them for three years, as well as filmed some of my best work. I love the Falcon team as well and have some great friends at Hot House. I totally respect Michael Lucas and love mr. Pam, who does videography and editing for Lucas Entertainment. I'm gonna name every studio I've worked for if I go on. Sorry, I just cant pick a favorite!

PC: Overall, what has been your most favorite production to work on?

ST: That would be To The Last Man... followed closely by LINK: the eVolution.

PC: Last year you starred in Raging Stallion Studios' big fall blockbuster Focus/Refocus. What was it like to shoot that massive film noir epic?

ST: It was fun... a far cry from the previous years blockbuster, which I had to pull double duty on. We shot To The Last Man in Arizona, over a 16 day period. I was Production Coordinator and I had a lead role, so it was a very intense schedule. Focus/Refocus was shot in San Francisco (where I live) and I only had a small part... so it was much easier.

PC: Is it just me... or do you appear to get "raped" in the most recent Raging Stallion Studios blockbusters (To The Last Man and Focus/Refocus)?

ST: Yep... I did. It's a running joke at Raging Stallion. They love to rape me.

PC: You have topped and bottomed on film. Do you classify yourself as being versatile?

ST: Sure.

PC: How and when did you lose your virginity?

ST: It was with my girlfriend. I was 15.

PC: What do you enjoy doing sexually?

ST: I'm very oral. I love to suck dick.

PC: Do you get into any kinds of fetishes?

ST: Not really. I am pretty vanilla.

PC: Describe one of your hottest sexual encounters.

ST: I can't pick just one. I'm so horrible at picking one of anything. Sorry.

PC: What is your favorite place to shoot your load?

ST: On the face.

PC: Do you find it hard to be in a relationship with the type of work you do?

ST: No... not at all. I've dated men in porn and men who are not in porn. I've never had any issues with it... which seems strange to most people. But, I'm very upfront and honest from the get go. So, everyone knows what they are getting into. Besides, I'm very normal. I just happen to work in porn. And it's just that... work.

ST: I've only been there for a few months... so they are all pretty

PC: What upcoming projects can we expect to see you in?

ST: I was just in Falcon/Mustang's Depths of Desire - Part 1. Other than that, you can see me in scenes for KinkMen.com. I've really focusing on directing now, but I will be in front of the camera every now and then.

PC: What are your future plans in the industry?

ST: To keep doing what I'm doing... so far so good. I'm not a guy who has a 5 year or 10 year plan. I just live each day as it comes.
