In the News :: Pittsburgh Steelers Star Troy Polamalu Insures Hair for $1 Million

Head & Shoulders has insured Pittsburgh Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu's hair through Lloyd's of London for $1 million.

Polamalu's trademark three-foot-long hair is a tribute to his Samoan heritage. He's not about to cut it anytime soon. One of his endorsements is with the Head & Shoulders company. And concern over a Steelers opponent using his hair against him during the game probably fueled the company to take action.

But, this could just quite possibly be a publicity stunt. Lloyd's is famous for insuring the most bizarre items for media attention. Lloyd's of London has insured Tina Turner's legs, Keith Richards' fingers, Jimmy Durante's nose, Celine Dion's vocal chords and the legs of Michael Flatley.

Guess Who's Getting Married on Grey's Anatomy ???

As was announced earlier this month, a wedding will be featured during the seventh season premiere of Grey's Anatomy. So, who's getting hitched? Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt!

Shonda Rhimes (Grey's creator): "The theme of this season is rebirth. Everybody is sort of coming out of this very dark place [following last season's massacre]. And there was something really hopeful and beautiful about Cristina and Owen getting married. We talked about jumping ahead in time, we talked about jumping ahead a year. And when it came down to it, the one thing that signals the biggest change in the world is Cristina wanting to be a bride. There can be nothing more different for Cristina than Cristina wanting to be a bride."

The September 23 season premiere picks up two months after the bloody massacre at Seattle Grace.

Fans shouldn't be worried that just because Cristina and Owen will wed, the couple will suddenly become boring.

Shonda Rhimes: "If Mer and Der are a lighter couple, Cristina and Owen are so fraught with their darkness and their twistiness that I can't imagine them getting boring ever."

Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, September 23 @ 9pm on ABC.

Joan Rivers Would Love to Go Dancing

Joan Rivers would love to be one of the celebrity contestants on ABC's Dancing With the Stars. The only problem is that the network has yet to invite her to compete.

Joan Rivers: "They've never asked me, so they can go fuck themselves! I don't know why because I certainly fall into their old lady category. I would do it for the exercise. Making yourself dance everyday for six hours a day I think would be so great."

Dancing With the Stars' eleventh season premieres Monday, September 20 @ 8pm on ABC.

ABC Announces Eleventh Season Cast of Dancing With the Stars

ABC announced the celebrity contestants for the eleventh season of Dancing With the Stars during a live press conference tonight towards the end of Bachelor Pad.

The eleventh season cast includes the daughter of the former Republican vice-presidential nominee, a comedienne, a Jersey Shore boy, a Grammy-winning singer and a retired basketball star.
