Syren De Mer (Born: June 24, 1969) is a small town girl who made it big in the adult industry. She was born in Bellingham, Washington and grew up in Yakima. As a young adult, she moved to Seattle and entered the world of modeling.
Syren De Mer has become an internet porn sensation. Standing 5'8 and possessing 34D-25-37 measurements, Syren is known for her sexual appetite.
In 2005, Syren submitted a portfolio to Playboy. That didn't go anywhere. But, prolific porn director Seymore Butts saw his images and asked Syren to sign with his agency. She received lots of work through the agency. After some time, Seymore sold his agency to veteran porn starlet Lisa Ann. Through Lisa Ann's agency, the 40-year-old starlet has gotten to work with some of the biggest companies in the adult industry.
I recently sat down with Syren to talk about how she got into the adult industry, her favorite co-stars, her work in Lisa Ann's Hung XXX and Bases Loaded and her future plans in the industry.
Papi Chulo: How long have you been in the adult industry?
Syren De Mer: Just over four years now.
PC: How did you get into the adult industry?
SDM: Actually, I was approached by the Seymore Butts talent agency after they saw my images on the net and asked me if I'd like to do videos and sign with them. It was a no brainer... I did it right away.
PC: How did you come up with your porn name?
SDM: I've always been a fan of mythology and mermaids and the sirens always intrigued me. So, I picked "Syren"... But... There was already a girl named that. So I took it up a step and added the "De Mer"... to be the "Syren of the Sea".
PC: Were you always interested in doing porn?
SDM: Actually, I hadn't thought about it until after I was married and my husband and I started swinging and such.
PC: What was your first day on a porn set like?
SDM: It was really exciting. I was nervous, a little stressed out because I didn't know what to expect. But everyone I met was super nice and made me feel really comfortable.
PC: Who have been some of your favorite scene-mates to work with?
SDM: Shane Diesel, Kendra Secrets, Justin Long, CJ Wright, Prince Yahshua, Richard Mann, Danny Blaq, TJ Cummings, Christian, Jocelyn Stone... Honestly there are so many the list would go on and on.
PC: What do you enjoy most about starring in porn scenes?
SDM: Actually, the reaction my fans give me for each new scene.
PC: You have been featured in a variety of scenes that range from one-on-ones to threesomes to group sex. Which do you enjoy being in the most?
SDM: Threesomes and foursomes. It keeps the action and the energy level really moving and they're a lot of fun.
PC: Who has been the biggest dick you have taken on in a scene?
SDM: Let's measure. Have them all line up. Lexington Steele, Shane Diesel, Shorty Mac, Richard Mann... et al... and then we'll know. [laughs]
PC: Do you enjoy anal sex?
SDM: [laughs] I love it hon!
PC: Who has been the absolute worst lay that you have had in porn?
SDM: I'm not the type of girl to air that type of information.
PC: Are there any male performers or female performers you wouldn't work with?
SDM: I consider myself lucky. Out of all the years I've done now, there is only one guy I wouldn't work with.
PC: How does a performer get on your "No" list?
SDM: Disrespect me, not listen to me, and be a lame fuck. [laughs]
PC: You have starred in some girl-on-girl porn flicks. Do you consider yourself bisexual?
SDM: I'm completely bisexual hon.
PC: Last year's Lisa Ann's Hung XXX and Bases Loaded featured some of the hottest interracial sex. How did you get involved in both projects?
SDM: Lisa Ann chose me out of all the girls on her roster. She had mentioned to me that she was impressed with how hot my scenes have been and she wanted me to be a part of her projects.
PC: Tell me a bit about your experience working on Hung XXX.
SDM: What can I say... CJ has that smokin' hot body and really knows how to fuck an ass! [laughs] The whole day and crew were fantastic, from the pretty girls to the pop shot. The whole part when CJ walks in and I literally tear his clothes off and he fucks me right there just inside the door to start was totally hot and that it was 100% anal made the scene even better.
PC: You starred in as scorching hot scene in Bases Loaded. You are paired with two of the top Black male performers (Prince Yahshua and CJ Wright) and a rising newcomer (Ice Cold). The intensity of that scene is quite noticeable. Tell me a bit about your experience working on that scene.
SDM: OK, this was probably one of my favorite scenes to date, and was my first real DP on video. The intensity was there because I had already worked really well with CJ and Prince before, so they already knew how aggressive I like it to be and how far they could push the limits. It also brought back memories of my past gangbangs that I'd hosted and had so much fun at. Add to it that we all just got along and the script was hilarious. We were able to really let ourselves go and just have fun.
PC: How and when did you lose your virginity?
SDM: Fifteen and at a church group slumber party... in ...the church. No, not the sanctuary!

PC: Prior to your porn career, you were involved in the swinging lifestyle. Some people may have heard the term "swinger" before, but may not necessarily understand the meaning or concept. Or they may have misconceptions about the meaning. Could you describe for me what a "swinger" is in your opinion?
SDM: A swinger is a person who shares multiple partners while still in a committed relationship.
PC: Do you still participate in the swinger lifestyle?
SDM: Yes. But not as much as we use to. My husband does not play and I only swing with him present, never alone.
PC: Is there an aspect of the adult industry that you don't enjoy?
SDM: In my experience, there is nothing I don't enjoy.

PC: What are your future plans in the industry?
