Taimak in "Repeat Offenders"

Check out my friend Taimak's new movie Repeat Offenders ...

The trailer for the movie was shot with limited finances as a fundraising campaign to raise money to fully create the feature film ... Now that the budget is secured the production team and cast are going to re-shoot the scenes and complete the entire movie ...

Taimak is also offering a special fitness DVD through his MySpace page ... the DVD is a great way to help you get in shape over the summer ...

"300" Sequel on the Way!

The Spartans will rise again ...

Warner Bros. is currently looking for a plot for a 300 sequel ... even the original director (Zack Snyder) is being talked to about working on the next installment ...

The sequel will be based on a new graphic novel by Frank Miller ... The only problem is that almost all of 300's main characters were killed off at the end of the first film ... So Miller may make the new adventure either a prequel, sequel or spinoff showcasing those that survived the brutal war ...

"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" May Get NC-17 Rating

Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno may get slapped with an NC-17 rating by the MPAA ...

The Seth Rogen/Elizabeth Banks comedy about two friends making porn to make a quick buck may have a difficult time being found in multiplexes if it does get that rating ...

Seth Rogen: "It's like a romantic comedy. It's a romantic relationship movie—with a lot of porn and balls. My balls are not in it."

Smith is fighting the MPAA so that the film get get a consumer friendly R rating ...

Seth Rogen: "You can disembowel someone in a youth hostel in Romania, but you can't show people having sex. I think it's weird. This is not anything outside of what we've done before. The word 'porno' is in the title, and that kind of freaks people out."

WALL•E was this weekend's winner ... Critics and audiences fell in love with the CGI love story ...

The new Disney/Pixar film grossed $62.5 million just enough to claim the top spot ... WALL•E's opening was the best for a Pixar film since 2004's The Incredibles ... and an upgrade from last summer's critically acclaimed Ratatouille which opened with $47 million ...

Opening in second place was Angelina Jolie's Wanted with $51.1 million ... Wanted was Jolie's biggest opening ever ... outdoing Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith ...

Get Smart dropped less than 50% from first place to third ... pulling in another $20 million for an overall total of $77.3 million ...

The Love Guru dropped 61% from fourth to sixth ... earning an additional $5.4 million ...

Kung Fu Panda (fourth place, $11.7 million) is approaching a $180 million overall total ...

Sex and the City (ninth place, $3.8 million) has just passed the $140 million mark ...

Iron Man has dropped out of the Top 10 after eight weeks ... The comic caper added an additional $2.3 million ... bringing its overall total to $309.2 million ...

The 2008 BET Awards were held on Tuesday ... the awards show recognizes the best in music, film and sports ...

Kanye West won two awards (Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration) ... Alicia Keyes was named Best Female R&B Artist ...

The handing out of the awards was entertaining ... but the highlight of the night were the many, many performances ... ranging from a showstopping opening number by Usher ("Love in This Club") to T-Pain with Flo Rida, Rick Ross, Ludacris and Big Boi to Keys, who led a '90s revival with appearances by R&B super groups TLC (T-Boz and Chilli), En Vogue and SWV ...

Box Office :: "Iron Man" Zooms to $300 Million

Iron Man has officially become the biggest movie of the year ...

Iron Man became the first film of 2008 to pass the $300 million mark Thursday ...

The Robert Downy Jr.-headlined comic book flick had grossed an estimated $299.3 million through Tuesday ... so that means that if the film continues averaging $680,000 per day in ticket sales ... then it surpassed $300 million Wednesday ... if not Thursday ...

Iron Man so far has grossed an additional $250 million worldwide ... bringing its global haul to over $550 million ...

Although it was $8 million less than Ang Lee's Hulk ... the film was considered a big hit for Universal Pictures since many naysayers said the previous Hulk's shadow would deter moviegoers from taking in this new installment ...

M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening also overcame a previous box office bomb (umm ... Lady in the Water anyone?) to reach box office heights ... The eco-friendly thriller made $30.5 million over the weekend ... good enough for third place ...

Last week's champ Kung Fu Panda made an additional $34.3 million (second place) ... bringing its overall total to $118 million ...

Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess With the Zohan dipped 50% ... earning $16.4 million ($68.8 million overall) ... just enough for fourth place ...

Movie Preview :: "The Fall"

Mesmerizing theatergoers right now is Tarsem's The Fall ... The film is about a story being told to a young girl ... The viewer is granted a glimpse into the girl's imagination as we see how she sees the story developing ... and how the individuals around her are used as characters in the story ...

Here is the film's synopsis ...

Los Angeles, circa 1920's, a little immigrant girl (Catinca Untaru) finds herself in a hospital recovering from a fall. She strikes up a friendship with a bedridden man (Lee Pace) who captivates her with a whimsical story that removes her far from the hospital doldrums into the exotic landscapes of her imagination. Making sure he keeps the girl interested in the story he interweaves her family and people she likes from the hospital into his tale.

The film is produced and directed by Tarsem and stars Lee Pace as Roy Walker, Catinca Untaru as Alexandria, Justine Waddell as Nurse Evelyn/Sister Evelyn, Kim Uylenbroek as Doctor/Alexander the Great and Marcus Wesley as Otta Benga/Ice Delivery Man ...

Justin Timberlake Loves Playing "Le Coq"

Justin Timberlake plays Jacques "Le Coq" Grande in The Love Guru ... His character is a hokey player that is packing a big dick ... and apparently that has gotten to his head ... because Timberlake says he's only interested in playing well-endowed characters from now on ...

Justin Timberlake: "Yeah, that will be a requirement. Maybe it's a she, and she still has a large penis. And it'll still be a requirement. It always has been a dream of mine. And I'm happy I was able to meet the mark."

Mike Myers (The Love Guru's writer and star) thought of Timberlake for the role of "Le Coq" after seeing him on Saturday Night Live ...

Justin Timberlake: "I'm starting to realize that I'm digging myself a nice big hole of penile humor."
