Miley Cyrus Cameo in Sex and the City Sequel

Miley Cyrus has a short cameo in the (currently filming) Sex and the City sequel.

Miley Cyrus: "I shot for like an hour and a half, and I was done. It was like the best job I'd ever been on."

Cyrus appears as herself and has a run-in with Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones at a red carpet event where they wear the same dress.

Miley Cyrus: "It was a total dream come true. It was so cool. Working with Kim was a really cool. And Sarah Jessica Parker was like the nicest person in the world."

Sex and the City 2 arrives in theaters on May 28, 2010.

Sony Pictures Preps Men in Black 3

Sony Pictures is ready to greenlight Men in Black 3.

They have already signed up director Barry Sonnenfeld and screenwriter Etan Cohen. Now the studio has to work on reuniting franchise stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

The original Men in Black (1997) was a critical and commercial hit. It grossed $589 million worldwide. Its 2002 sequel grossed $441 million.

Men in Black 3 could start shooting in 2010.

BOX OFFICE :: Michael Jackson's This Is It Banks $101 Million Worldwide

This Is It led the weekend box office with $21.3 million from Friday-Sunday. It's five-day worldwide haul stands at $101 million. In the United States, This Is It grossed $32.5 million in its first five days. In response, Sony announced that the concert film will remain in theaters through the Thanksgiving weekend.

Paranormal Activity (second place, $16.5 million) has grossed $84.8 million overall.

In its third weekend, Law Abiding Citizen (third place, $7.3 million; $51.4 million overall) moved up to third place.

Saw VI (fifth place, $5.6 million; $22.8 million overall) saw ticket sales fall 61% during Halloween weekend.

Stephen "tWitch" Boss to Star in Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming

Former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Stephen "tWitch" Boss has been cast in Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming.

The film started shooting in Atlanta this week. Boss stars as the antagonist, Taz.

Boss will next week seen in Touchstone Pictures' 2010 release Step Up 3-D.

Since his tenure as the season four runner-up of the FOX reality dance competition, Boss has appeared on the big screen in Hairspray and Blades of Glory.

FIRST LOOK :: The A-Team

E! Online has posted the first image from the new big screen A-Team film.

The image shows Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, District 9's Sharlto Copley and mixed martial artist Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in their A-Team garb.

Neeson stars as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, Cooper plays Lt. Templeton "Face" Peck, Copley plays pilot H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdoch and Jackson portrays B.A. Baracas.

The film arrives in theaters in June 2010.

Paramount May Produce Paranormal Activity Sequel

Paramount Pictures is thinking about possibly producing a sequel to the surprise horror hit Paranormal Activity.

Brad Grey (Paramount Pictures chairman): "We have the rights on a worldwide basis to do Paranormal 2. We're looking to see if that makes some sense."

Paranormal Activity cost just $15,000 to produce and has made $62.5 million in four weeks.

Charlize Theron: Director's Pick to Star in Mad Max 4

Charlize Theron is director George Miller's pick to play the lead female role in the upcoming Mad Max 4. The Mad Max sequel will not star franchise headliner Mel Gibson. Miller has admitted in the past that Gibson is too old for the antihero role of "Mad" Max Rockatansky.

George Miller: "I don't think he would be interested in being involved at all."

Miller is looking at Tom Hardy to play opposite Theron.

BOX OFFICE :: Paranormal Activity Came, Saw, Conquered

Paranormal Activity conjured $22 million in its first weekend with a full wide release. The horror flick clawed its way to the top of the box office after a full month in theaters. The film's overall gross stands at $62.5 million.

Saw VI banked just $14.8 million for second place. It was the worst opening in the Saw franchise's history. It's half of the $30 million that Saw V opened to a year ago. The Saw franchise hasn't seen a sub-$30 million opening weekend since Jigsaw's big screen debut back in 2004.

Astro Boy debuted in sixth place with $7 million, while Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant ($6.3 million) opened in eighth place. Amelia opened in 11th place with $4 million. What is so noteworthy about the previous three films? Each bombed at the box office... and each cost $40 million to make.

Where the Wild Things Are topped the weekend box office with a $32.5 million debut.

Law Abiding Citizen ($21.3 million) entered the box office race in second.

Paranormal Activity (third place, $20.2 million) had its biggest weekend yet. To date, the flick has scared up $33.7 million.

The Stepfather made $12.3 million for fifth place.

The Toy Story and Toy Story 2 3D: Double Feature was only supposed to play for two weeks?

Black Dynamite made $140,986 at 70 theaters.

Love Jones Sequel on the Way ???

Love Jones is a 1997 romantic drama that starred Nia Long and Larenz Tate as Nina Mosley and Darius Lovehall.

Long spoke about rumors of a possible sequel with Clay Cane over at BET.com... that would not star Long or Tate.

Nia Long: "Making the movie, it was just so close to what I know as being Black – Black love. It's the closest that you were going to ever get in my opinion — that film is timeless. For years, they’ve been saying, 'Let's do a sequel.' I heard that it's possible there might be a sequel in the works that's going straight to video with two other actors because I would never do that and Larenz [Tate] wouldn't either. I think that's going to be the biggest mistake they could ever make. It's a cult classic and people love that movie. If you try to serve that up with different actors and a sequel straight to video, you're going to piss a lot of people off."

Would fans of the cult classic accept a sequel that didn't star Nia Long and Larenz Tate?
