The Friday night premiere of the new Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock averaged 8.9 million viewers ...

In comparison ... Camp Rock did better than the original High School Musical which brought in 7.7 million viewers ... but it failed to beat High School Musical 2 ... The HSM sequel drew 17.2 million viewers last August ...

High School Musical 2 is the most watched non-sports program to air on cable ...

Camp Rock's decent numbers pretty much have guaranteed a second outing for the Jonas Brothers ...

HSM-Gate II: Another Set of Hudgens Nude Photos

Just when you thought it was over ...

People magazine has reported that way before Vanessa Hudgens broke out with High School Musical ... she sent racy photos of herself to teen star Drake Bell of Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh ...

Reps for Bell say that: "Drake says he never received those photos."

It seems that insiders at Disney are saying they can forgive one "lapse in judgment" ... but a second one may cost Hudgens her role in the two planned HSM sequels ...

HSM's Hudgens Causes Nude Pic Scandal

High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens apologized to fans today for the racy pictures of her that hit the Internet this week ...

The X-rated photos hit the Internet this week ... Yesterday a representative for Hudgens confirmed the image was of Hudgens but said the photo "was taken privately" ... The rep goes on to say:  "It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public" ...

Fans speculated that Disney would instantly dump the HSM starlet from plans for the third installment in the mega-franchise of films ... It was even briefly reported online that Cheetah Girls' star Adrienne Bailon was set to replace Hudgens ...

Hudgens portrays Gabriella in the series ... a bookworm that falls for Zac Efron's Troy ... a basketball star ... The two are dating in real life ...

So far Disney is backing its star ... and saying that the photo would not affect their decision to cast Hudgens in the third installment of High School Musical ...
