Lopez, Smirnoff Call It Quits

It seems like it was just last month that Mario Lopez was telling everyone that it was "all good" ... Oh wait! That was last month ... How things quickly change ...

Melissa Berger (Karina Smirnoff's Publicist): "Karina has parted ways with her two-year relationship with Mario Lopez. The relationship wasn't heading in the right direction."

Mario Lopez: "Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other. She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life."

Lopez and Smirnoff met when they were paired up to compete on Dancing With the Stars ...

Terrell Is Ready for More TV

Terrell Owens is ready to take on more television roles after his guest stint on Under One Roof ... But you won't be seeing the notorious football star on Dancing With the Stars ...

Terrell Owens: "They asked me to do that last year and I graciously declined. I don't need to get on national TV to show people I can dance. I do that 16, 17 weeks out of the year. I've been doing it all my career."

Owens said he will save his ballroom dancing skills for when he gets married ... Plus he's more of a sitcom kinda guy ...

Terrell Owens: "I had some friends over watching it. Everybody said I did pretty good. I think I surprised a lot of people with my performance. For me, I feel like I can act. That's what I want to do. If I wasn't really comfortable with it and didn't think I could really do it, then I wouldn't have done it."

Owens said some of his friends have been teasing him ... calling him "Denzel" ...

Terrell Owens: "I think comedy was a good start. I don't really see myself limiting myself just to comedy."

Abdul May Not Go "Dancing"

Paula Abdul's love for dance might not be expressed on national television ...

American Idol's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe hates the idea of his top judge appearing on rival show Dancing With the Stars (and a rival network) ...

Nigel Lythgoe: "As far as I'm concerned, Paula is American Idol and our judge. It's like asking Simon (Cowell) to sing. Why would I want that? It's not that Paula wouldn't be good at it. She would be brilliant. But she was a dancer, so why would a dancer go on a dancing show? That doesn't seem fair to me!"

Abdul has made it no secret that she would love to be on the Dancing series ...

Paula Abdul: "I'd be honored. I want to wear the pretty dresses!"

And ... her boss' opposition hasn't quelled her dreams ...

Paula Abdul: "I'm hypothetically thinking about it."
