Lucas Entertainment has been nominated 27 times for the 10th Annual GAYVN Awards, including Best Picture for "Michael Lucas' Gigolo" and Best Actor, Best Director, and Performer of the Year for company President and CEO Michael Lucas.

"I'm honored and thankful," said Lucas. "It was a landmark year of breaking through into the mainstream for me, my company, and for the gay adult industry as a whole. Lucas Entertainment's two blockbusters of 2007, "Michael Lucas' Gigolo" and "The Intern," are each nominated for 12 awards. "The Intern," Lucas Entertainment's first sex comedy, is nominated for Best Sex Comedy. "Auditions 18: Florida Part 1" is nominated for Best Pro/Am Release.

Lucas shares the Best Director nomination for "Michael Lucas' Gigolo" with Tony Dimarco, who is also nominated for Best Videographer (along with Mr. Pam), Best Still Photographer, and twice for Best Screenplay for both "The Intern" and "Michael Lucas' Gigolo."

HK Lounge to Host "Gigolo" Release Party

The official release party for Lucas Entertainment's Michael Lucas' Gigolo will be at New York's HK Lounge on Dec. 14 ...

Lucas Entertainment announces the official release party for "Michael Lucas' Gigolo" at HK Lounge (523 9th Avenue @ 39th, NYC) on Friday, December 14th, 2007.

"Michael Lucas' Gigolo" cast members Michael Lucas, Ben Andrews, J., Anthony Marks, Jason Sparks and Jimmy Trips are the first models confirmed to appear. The event will be part of HK Fridays hosted by Beto, S(he)quida and Dougie, with music by DJ Scotty Thomson. There will be free giveaways, a live erotic show, and complimentary vodka shots courtesy of Imperia Vodka.

Scenes from the blockbuster DVD were shot at HK Lounge earlier this year.

Directed by Lucas and Tony Dimarco—the team that won the Best Director GAYVN this year for "Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita"—"Michael Lucas' Gigolo" takes place in the dark, underground world of a New York City gigolo. You see ... the truth of the matter was that Michael Lucas wasn't dead ... It was just a publicity stunt for his latest feature Gigolo ...In the film (which is being shot in reverse order) Michael Lucas' character dies ... So during the filming someone snapped a photo and the guys at Lucas Entertainment spread the photo and phony press release throughout cyberspace ...

The initial idea was to go with the faux news story for a few days ... Build up press and buzz for their second big budget feature of the year ... But ... some people just take things too literally ... and those that caught on to the joke ... were not laughing ...
