Las Vegas will be seeing a new name in lights. Kevin Skinner won NBC's America's Got Talent on Wednesday night. The 35-year-old unemployed chicken catcher won the $1 million prize and a headlining show in Vegas.
Kevin Skinner: "I've always loved to perform. I want to go out there and give 'em the best show I can."
Shakira, Leona Lewis, Rascal Flatts and the cast of Cirque du Soleil's latest production, Banana Shpeel, performed earlier in the broadcast. But, the performance everyone was waiting for was Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle's. Boyle performed the Rolling Stones hit "Wild Horses."
Last night on NBC's America's Got Talent, Lawrence Beaman, Hairo Torres, Drew Stevyns, Recycled Percussion and Barbara Padilla joined the Texas Tenors, Grandma Lee, Kevin Skinner, Fab Five and Voices of Glory for a phenomenal final performance show.
America will now vote to choose which act will receive the $1 million grand prize and a show on the Las Vegas strip. The winner will be crowned Wednesday night.
During Wednesday night's fourth season finale, Leona Lewis, Shakira, Rascal Flatts and Susan Boyle will perform. Boyle will perform a song from her upcoming album.
The America's Got Talent finale airs at 8pm on NBC.
Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle will make her US debut on America's Got Talent. Boyle will perform on the season finale of the reality competition series on September 16, 2009.
Talent judge Piers Morgan made no secret of wanting Boyle on the series when the reality series premiered earlier this summer.
Piers Morgan: "If she's up for it and she is well enough... our feeling is she probably will. Absolutely!"
The finalists voted through by America were the Texas Tenors, Grandma Lee and Kevin Skinner.
The fourth act was to be voted through by the judges. It was down to the Fab Five and The Voices of Glory.
Sharon Osbourne: "I can't, I won't do it. I can't do it, Nick, sorry."
David Hasselhoff couldn't pick between the two either, so he passed the decision to Piers Morgan.
Piers Morgan: "There is only one fair way to conclude this. There is going to be no judges' pick. We're going to throw the walls up. We're going to send you both to the final."
After last night's final quarter finals results show, the stage is set for a fierce pair of semifinal performance shows on NBC's America's Got Talent.
