Talk of the Town :: Jeffrey Harris Jilted by "Bachelorette"

The_bachelorette

Jeffrey_harrisAt the end of the premiere episode of The Bachelorette's new season ... ten guys had to go ... and Jeffrey Harris, 27, was one of them ...

DeAnna Pappas did not choose the math teacher from North Miami, FL ... and he's not bitter about it ...

Here is an excerpt from an interview with Harris ...

What made you decide to do the show?

"I had just received my masters degree and my friends wanted to get me out of the house. But I was disappointed by the women I was meeting. My mother loved The Bachelor and loved DeAnna. I had never really seen the show."

How was the experience?

"Well, it was me and 24 guys in the house, so it was extremely wild but fun."

Lots of competition and testosterone?

"There was no ill-will toward anyone. We understood that there was a situation where we all there for one goal: To see if DeAnna or I or whoever else were bonding. We were supportive of each other. We all knew that we had to try to individually get noticed."

What did you do to impress her?

"I had a card that my students had made for her. They all signed it."

How did you get along?

"There was a physical connection -- she's extremely pretty in person. I don't think we hit it off. I see us more as friends."

Do you think she chose her 15 suitors well?

"All the ones who got roses are good guys, but there was one guy -- everyone felt the same way -- Twilley [debt manager from Tulsa] wasn't there for the right reasons."

Do you regret not jumping in the pool or doing something crazy to get noticed?

"No. That guy who did that [ Paul from Canada] -- that's not the way I would conduct myself. He put her name on his swim trunks!"

So what is your status now?

"I would say single and looking."
