Carlo Masi (Born: October 6, 1976) has been a COLT Man ever since he entered the adult industry five years ago. It was with this prolific studio ... that the muscular versatile performer found his partner Adam Champ.

The 32-year-old performer has starred in several popular productions for COLT Studio. He graced the cover of his first COLT production ... MUSCLE UP! Carlo Masi has also been featured in the classic productions Big N' Plenty, Naked Muscles: The New Breed and Hawai'i.

I sat down with Carlo to chat about how he became a COLT Man ... how he met Adam Champ ... his favorite production ... his departure and return to COLT Studio ... and his new projects ...

Papi Chulo: How long have you been in the adult industry?

Carlo Masi: I have been working in this field for five years now.

PC: How did you get into the adult industry?

CM: It still seems like yesterday. At the time I was about to achieve my Master's degree in computer engineering (it was just a matter of a few days), when I received an e-mail from Manfred Speer (talent scout for COLT Studio). I was (and I am) a huge fan, so I couldn't believe that e-mail was genuine. Therefore I looked for the official contacts on COLT Studio's website and I contacted the company. We all know what happened then.

PC: How did you come up with your porn name?

CM: I am very happy with my porn name. I find it cool and easy to remember. I didn't pick it. One day I was going to Los Angeles with Manfred when we received a phone call from John Rutherford (President of COLT Studio). He only told me, "Welcome into the COLT family Carlo Masi."

PC: Have you always been interested in doing porn?

CM: No, actually I wouldn't even have considered doing porn if it wasn't COLT itself asking me. Since I joined this company my life has changed a lot. From a computer engineer, I become a porn star. And I must say that not even once I have regretted my decision.

PC: What was your first day on a porn set like?

CM: I remember I was extremely exited and I desperately wanted to give my best, still I could barely sleep. I guess I was the first of the movie crew to wake up, so I had breakfast alone. I was in San Francisco. An Australian guy approached me and asked me for an autograph. I explained to him I was nobody and that I was only going to shoot my first movie that day. But he insisted and told me he never met a COLT Man before, and I answered, "neither have I." As far as I can remember that was the only autograph I have ever given using my real name. "Carlo Masi" didn't exist yet.

PC: Who has been your favorite co-star to work with?

CM: This is too easy to answer, my boyfriend Adam Champ.

PC: What do you enjoy most about filming scenes?

CM: I like the atmosphere around the scene. Everybody looks busy and it feels like we are doing some serious stuff.

PC: What is your sexual role in films? Is your sexual role different off-screen?

CM: On-screen so far I've been versatile. But, I told COLT Studio I would prefer only to top from now on. That reflects my private life. I am a top. Even though I bottom for my Adam.

PC: Did you do any work in the industry before signing on with COLT Studio?

CM: No, actually a COLT Man is supposed to be an authentic newcomer. That means that a COLT Men is supposed to have never been seen on-screen before. Sometimes this rule is broken. But in my case I was a "virgin" on-screen.

PC: How did you become a COLT Man?

CM: This is a pretty interesting story. I told the people at COLT I didn't want to do any sex on-screen. So we agreed on a softcore scene for my first movie. From the moment we started filming that first scene, everybody on the set was in love with me. I wasn't even sure who was who (I mean I didn’t know exactly who the owner of the company was or who was a manager and so on). When John asked me if I would like to join the company as an exclusive, I thought it was only an option and I did not understand that he actually was offering me a contract. Seven days later I couldn't resist any longer and I asked (almost in tears) Manfred if COLT would ever actually offer me an exclusive contract. Manfred looked at me and said, "COLT already did. What did you expect? A ceremony? We are waiting for your answer."

PC: How long have you been an exclusive with COLT?

CM: Five years.

PC: You are romantically involved with Adam Champ ... How did you two meet?

CM: We met on his first movie. I looked at him walking all naked toward the cameras. He didn't even see me, but everybody started making fun of me (because I was so obviously into Adam). He really is gorgeous. At the beginning he pretended he had no idea of who I was at COLT and he didn't give me any importance. God he knows how to play.

PC: Do you feel that your relationship is stronger because both of you are in the adult industry?

CM: Definitely being both in the industry we've had an amazing list of adventures together. Plus, we have traveled all around the world always holding hands. But I believe that our relationship would have been just as strong if we were in different business. Only our life probably would have been less intense.

PC: When did you two decide to take the relationship to the next level?

CM: The night before performing together for Naked Muscles: The New Breed, we decided to start a relationship after a long dating period ... two days. We both are impulsive.

PC: What has been your favorite production to work on?

CM: MUSCLE UP! I believe that is my best movie. Because of my body shape and because I am on the cover.

PC: How would you describe an ideal scene that you would star in?

CM: First of all my partner should be my beloved Adam Champ. Than I would for once have a comfortable bed. I only have worked in movies where I was asked to have sex in very uncomfortable situations. It would be nice to have a real comfortable bed.

PC: Earlier this year, you and Adam left COLT Studio ... What brought on the decision to leave the company?

CM: Honestly, we both left COLT only to go back a couple of months later. Personally, I was very stressed and not happy about the money. Plus my relationship with some members of the team had lost their strength.

PC: A few months later ... you two returned to COLT Studio and signed a new multi-year contract ... Was the decision to return to the studio you left a difficult one?

CM: Yes, it was not an easy decision because we had to admit the mistake we did. COLT is a big family and they took us back with them. We needed to see what was out there for us, but we felt like we lost a huge part of our life leaving COLT. We knew that even if we could keep working, our image would have suffered because honestly, out there, nobody is better than COLT Studio.

PC: One of your most recent releases for COLT is Hawai'i ... You star in a hot scene with Luke Garrett ... The scene features some hot footage of "docking" ... Was that part of the scene as hot to do in person as it was to see on the screen?

CM: If I have to be honest, it is not something that really turns me on. But I know it looks good on movies, so I do it.

PC: What is your ethnicity?

CM: I am European. Proudly Italian. An authentic Roman.

PC: Where were you born?

CM: I was born in Rome, Italy.

PC: You have a phenomenal muscular physique ... How often do you work out?

CM: That depends. I've worked out since I was 16. Sometime I worked out more, sometime less. But I believe that four times a week is good.

PC: How and when did you lose your virginity?

CM: I lost my virginity with Giuseppe. You know ... the name I have tattooed on my shoulder. At that time, we were boyfriends. Now he is my best friend. Just to let you know, when I got this tattoo Giuseppe and I had been broken up for about eight years. So I didn't get this tattoo after my boyfriend, but after my best friend.

PC: What do you enjoy doing sexually?

CM: I like to suck Adam, and I like when Adam sucks me. Since I was a teenager I've been fascinated by blowjobs.

PC: On-screen and off-screen ... what is your ideal sexual encounter?

CM: My boyfriend and me. Some romantic music and a mirror. Adam loves mirrors and I want him to be happy too.

PC: Do you get into any fetishes?

CM: No, not at all.

CM: My pictures. All my movies are streaming. My forum and blog. And my webcam shows of course.

PC: Are there any projects you are currently working on?

CM: After the success of our South Americans tours, we are working on a big European tour. We will be in many big cities in Europe for live appearances. We are working on shows for Rome, Naples, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and Mikonos. We organize all these parties for the Fush Fush Group.

PC: What are your future plans in the industry?

CM: My future plan is to stay with COLT Studio for many years and keep up working like I've done so far.
