I sat down with Robert to talk about how he got into the adult industry ... his work with Blue Blake ... his much talked about performance in The Muscle Pit ... his bodybuilding lifestyle ... and his website ...

Papi Chulo: Thank you for taking the time out to do this interview ... Let's start at the beginning ... How did you get into the adult industry?

Robert Van Damme: One day while I was at One Bar I met Blue Blake. He said, "Wow! Man you look great. You're gonna be a porn star. Give me a call tomorrow." He gave me his card and I called him a few days later. He did what he said. He made a porn star out of me. We are still great friends. Blue is a very important man in my career.

PC: How long have you been in the adult industry?

RVD: I have been in the industry almost 6 years.

PC: Were you always interested in working in the adult industry?

RVD: Yes I am an exhibitionist, so I was always interested to doing porn.

PC: What was your first day on a porn set like?

RVD: My first porn movie was Blue Blake's Musclemen Moving Company, Inc. more than 5 years ago.

PC: You have quite a few features under your belt ... You have starred with some of the top studios and directors ... One director that you have worked with a few times is Blue Blake ... What has been your favorite Blue Blake film to work on?

RVD: Blue is my friend, a good friend. Such a good friend that he is sometimes like my older brother when comes to giving me good advice. The best movie that I did for Blue was definitely The Muscle Pit.

PC: In The Muscle Pit ... you aide in double anal penetration ... and you take a shot of cum on your face and share it ... The film certainly has some classic scenes in it that feature you ... How was it shooting that film?

RVD: Well first of all there was a little dilemma. Blue approached me to ask me to do a scene with Marco Paris. Marco is one of my best friends here in L.A. We always have drinks together or travel together and enjoy seeing each other, but we've never had sex together. The thought of doing a scene with Marco made it feel like it was incest for me to do a scene with him. But, the final product was fantastic. The 3-way with Brad Rock and Josh Weston is also a spectacular scene. So shooting that movie was a lot of fun.

PC: Were you excited about the double anal penetration scene? Is that something you have done off-camera?

RVD: I guess I had never done it in front of the camera before. But yes I have done DPs many of times in my life. (LOL)

PC: You were an exclusive with Hot House Entertainment at one point ... How long were you an exclusive with them? And ... what was your experience like with the company?

RVD: I was an exclusive model for Hot House for one year. If it wasn't for a few problems I would probably still be working for them. Steven Scarborough is great director, but he has a few people around him that destroyed all my feelings about Hot House. I was paid great. I did great jobs and landed 4 covers out of the 5 movies I was in for them that year. If they hadn't already known I was leaving, I probably would have landed the last cover as well. So you can say my body was selling all those DVDs all year long. That year was a good one for Hot House. But, after 10 months of working with them my picture wasn't on the Hot House website and when I asked them about it they got really arrogant with me. Can you believe that? You have a website full of models, and your exclusive superstar isn't there? Hot House didn't promote me at all, they were too selfish for everything. So I was happy to get over my exclusivity and become a free agent again.

PC: What kind of scenes do you enjoy filming ... one-on-ones, threesomes or scenes with multiple partners?

RVD: If I have a partner or partners on the same page and chemistry, then I can do whatever!

PC: Your sexual role in films is as a top ... Do you ever see yourself bottoming on film?

RVD: Never say never. I guess this is a little surprise for my fans and they will see me bottom only on my website ... If?

PC: Who has been your favorite scene-mate thus far?

RVD: I do not have one favorite. I've had the opportunity to work with a lot of great guys. So I don't wanna say some names only. It wouldn't be fair ... I guess.

PC: What has been your all-time favorite movie that you have starred in ... and why?

RVD: I had a lot of fun shooting Beefcake for Falcon. We were up in Napa in the middle of the summer. All of the models were in a small cabin and all the scenes were shot outside. It was over 100 degrees there.

But I think the most fun I've ever had on a set was for Blue's The Muscle Pit. When we did a scene at Muscle Beach gym at Venice Beach. It was on a Saturday and there were hundreds of tourists taking pictures of me and Adam [Reich aka BamBam Micelli] while we did our scene for the movie. We were working out in just our speedos. (LOL) Then when Marco and I started kissing on Venice Beach in the middle of all those people ... they were confused a lot.

PC: You have been featured in some leather-infused films ... Do you have any fetishes?

RVD: Actually I do. I love leather.

PC: What new projects are you working on?

RVD: I'm working now mostly on my brand new website design. I'm making more and more videos for my website and I am available also for movie scenes. Recently I did a movie for Suite703. The scene was directed by Jim Steel.

PC: How ... and when did you lose your virginity?

RVD: OMG, you wont believe this. I was 13-years-old and it was in an elevator.

PC: What do you enjoy the most about sex?

RVD: I love sex. I love it all. Sex is my life.

PC: Is there an exact measurement for your uncut member?

RVD: It's 9" thick "fun" always ready for action.

PC: You have an amazing physique ... How often do you work out?

RVD: I do 3-4 workouts per week. But I do a lot of different sports as a cardio, like ice hockey, soocer, tennis ... sex. (LOL) I do have strong personal discipline, I can keep a good diet and I have great genes from my parents. So this combination works well for me so far.

PC: Is there a particular routine or diet that you maintain to keep your body phenomenally cut?

RVD: It's very simple. I have a meal every 2 hours ... just small portions. My body has a fast metabolism, because I don't let him store anything.

PC: How long have you taken part in the bodybuilding lifestyle?

RVD: A long time ago I was learning the bodybuilding alphabet from Pavol Jablonicky. He has been the best European bodybuilder and that was someone who gave me all knowledge I needed.I saw him prepare for Mr. Olympia and win Night of Champions. Bodybuilding has been a part of my life for over 15 years.

PC: You are also a father to twin girls ... Is it difficult balancing the life of a porn star with a regular home life?

RVD: My daughters are 19-years-old now. So it would be difficult if you are hiding something. My girls know what I am doing. We have a wonderful relationship. So there are no problems for me.

PC: Do you have an official website?

RVD: Yes I do have a website. It can be found at www.robertvandamme.net.

PC: What can be found on your website?

RVD: I am selling all of my DVDs personally autographed. I have my Video section where members can see private videos that are originally presented only on my website. My website also has a huge gallery with hundreds and hundreds of pictures. There is also a workout and nutrition section that includes workout videos. Fans can see my traveling calendar and basically everything about me.

PC: You do a lot of press events ... Do you enjoy meeting your fans?

RVD: I always like to meet my fans. Yes I do have only good experiences when I meet them.

PC: What are your future plans in the industry?

RVD: My future plans? I am working now on my brand new website. It will be a lot more then just Robert Van Damme. There will be more videos, more sex, more fun. I will be making my first movie as a director and producer, so we'll see how it will go.
